The great changes I'm noticing about couples getti The great changes I'm noticing about couples getting married this year are worth sharing. If you are getting married, these are the top takeaway tips as you plan: 1. Don't get swayed by external pressure and this applies to suppliers and the advice of friends and family. Your vision, budget and style is personal. For some reason a wedding invites unwanted opinions but if it was your birthday it would be a different story. You can just say, hey thanks but I'm excited to see my vision become a reality and for you to relax and enjoy it! 2. Don't do things because it's "what you should do". Include it if it's a vibe, delete it if it feels untrue. 3. Things that don't pan out are often total blessings. If you miss out on a venue you want, or the date you want, it might mean you get a venue that is more suitable in an unseen way or date that surprises you with cracking weather. Try not to force things into being one way. 4. Vows- you can opt to say your personal vows in private if you're not a fan of public speaking. Only a legal sentence must be said before your witnesses/guests. Thank you to Rach of @bach.atelier for this photo. 21 years married... 19 years as a Celebrant. When 21 years married... 19 years as a Celebrant. When our first born was 7 days old, I whipped out to the carpark after a wedding, whilst they took photos with their signed certificate and witnesses, where Pete was dancing about with our hungry baby, breastfed our teeny son and then returned inside to announce the couple husband and wife. What a ride! I love my man. I am extremely thankful for the confidence I have through his unwavering love. Love makes you brave, or mad, or maybe a little of both 😄

I don't know how they pulled it off but Donald and I don't know how they pulled it off but Donald and Adelle managed an elegant European style wedding at @figtreerestaurant that led into a @wutheringheightsmovie photoshoot on the moors of Byron Hinterland, somehow drummed up by their incredible photographer @allumeweddings When you nail the personal touches so well, it really does equate to an unforgettable celebration. Fave details of the day were their specially chosen ringbearer, Adelle's nan Delwyn made the wedding cake that she and Adelle iced together, a visually beautiful but equally tasty cheese wheel created by caterers Fig Tree Restaurant and letting me write a really honest ceremony that celebrated love in all it's many facets. Roughly five times a year I will be a #tandemweddi Roughly five times a year I will be a #tandemwedding Celebrant. I don't have a word for it - it's always different. If you have an awesome orator-pal, or a dear relative or maybe someone who speaks your mother-language fluently, you can have this person conduct your wedding ceremony, but you'll still need an official Marriage Celebrant (unless you get hitched at a registry office first). It is incredibly fulfilling for me to ensure your ceremony is meaningful to you and your guests. The energy that creates is palpable. After 19 years as a Celebrant, I've done many variations on this double officiant style wedding, and it is always a pleasure collaborating with your person - to make your wedding day the most fabulous day - however you'd like it! Key things I do to create a ceremony with another person: ■ Meet firstly just with you both, to get clarity on your vision and offer up varied ways to achieve this ■ Design a ceremony tailored to your love story, detailing how both officiants will step in and out ■ Let your non-official celebrant adapt and contribute - you then approve the end result ■ Ensure all the legal requirements are met ■ My experience as a Celebrant will conjure and "hold the space" appropriate to that of such a momentous occasion, welcoming your guests and giving the ceremony an unengineered, organic feeling ■ Supply my public address speaker + mic I'd love to hear what you have in mind for your wedding day. It's much more fun and doesn't date. ◇ ask for advice from the professionals you engage. They know what works and at this point, you don't know what you don't know. ♡ winter is busy - because Australia can be warm and have unpredictable weather in the hotter months, winter is actually my busiest season this year! book your crew as soon as you can. ◇ if something doesn't flow during planning, it's always a gift in disguise that you'll only appreciate later. As 2025 slides away, I am grateful for all the opp As 2025 slides away, I am grateful for all the opportunities gifted to me, learning that even challenges unfold as the biggest gifts of all. I married 45 couples, helped bring three feature movies to life, travelled solo for the first time in 22 years with two weeks diving the Komodo NP, celebrated my husband's 50th birthday and our son's 18th birthday. I met new wonderful people, and spent quality time with old friends and new. As 2026 dawns, I am so excited to work with all the couples who will be tying their knot this year🪢and still have a few dates available. I don't take on more than one couple per date, and I restrict bookings each year to maintain a love and dedication to this role that I'm entrusted with.
